1. What is Halloween Horror Nights? Universal Studios Hollywood is transformed into Los Angeles’s most terrifying Halloween experience, filled with haunted walk-through attractions, roaming scare-actors, and nightmare-inducing rides, shows and attractions. Plus unforgettable live music and high-energy dance performances by “The Mutaytor.”
Halloween Horror Nights is a separately ticketed nighttime event that is not included with regular daytime admission.

2. Will the regular rides and attractions be open?
Universal Studios Hollywood's favorite attractions will remain open for the nighttime Halloween Horror Nights experience, but many will feature a menacing twist.
The standing sets and themed streets of the park will be transformed into scenes from "The Director's" dark vision. "WaterWorld" (transformed into "Slaughter World" for the occasion), "Jurassic ParkIn the Dark," the "Revenge of the Mummy" psychological thrill ride and the twists and turns of "Back to the Future... The Ride" will all seem like tranquil respites from The Director's bedlam.

3. Is Halloween Horror Nights suitable for children? This event may be too intense for young children. Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13. There is no minimum age requirement for admission; however, adult discretion is strongly advised. There are no child ticket prices for this event.

The first night is Friday the 13th of October.

5. Are costumes allowed?
No. Costumes, make-up and masks are not allowed. Guests wearing costumes will be turned away at the front gate.

Tickets are also available for purchase at the Front Gate ticket booths, inside the park at the Hollywood Ticket Outlet and on Universal CityWalk at the Universal Studios Store.

9. Is Halloween Horror Nights admission free for Annual Pass holders?
No, it is not. Halloween Horror Nights is a specially ticketed event. However, there are specially-discounted Halloween Horror Nights tickets available for purchase by Annual Pass holders only.
To purchase your exclusive Annual Pass holder discount tickets, first enter your Annual Pass barcode (located on the back of your pass) on the Tickets page and then hit “Go”.
10. Are VIP Tours available?
Yes. For $129which includes your admission to Halloween Horror Nightsyou will receive a private tour guide for the evening.
As part of the VIP Tour, you will benefit from Front of Line and Reserved Seating privileges. You will also get to spend some time in the VIP lounge and enjoy a private vehicle to and from the “Terror Tram” attraction.

No, it is not.

Yes, you can maximize your experience at Halloween Horror Nights with a Front of Line Pass, which provides shorter wait times at participating attractions!

We are conveniently located right off the 101 (Hollywood) Freeway, approximately ten minutes north of Downtown Los Angeles. Exit either Universal Studios Boulevard or Lankershim Blvd.

16. How much is parking?
Parking is $10 for cars, $11 for RVs. We offer Preferred Parking for $20.

18. Is it true, that we can walk on the backlot?
Yes. For the first time in studio history, guests will take a tram to the studio and walk among some of the scariest sets on the backlot.
19. I heard The Mutaytor is performing at the event? True?
Yes. One of the feature attractions will be multiple nightly performances by music/performance artists The Mutaytor, a multi-media experience that was formed at the legendary Burning Man Festival by members of Oingo Boingo and other musical and theatrical groups. The Mutaytor’s blend of pyrotechnics, stunt performance, tribal dancers and heart-pounding music will add a spine-tingling and electrifying element to the Halloween experience.
